Depending on the time of purchase, as well as promotions that this airline occasionally offers, the prices of return tickets may vary further.

Abu Dhabi over Dubai

Dubai airport is around 1.5 h driving from Abu Dhabi. So, you can also chose to reach Dubai by plane, and then to use taxi or metro bus to reach Abu Dhabi. Taxi is more expensive, around 100 EUR, while metro plus bus are much cheaper option (from airport by metro to Ibn Battuta mall station and from Ibn Battuta to Abu Dhabi by bus which is leaving every hour, price around 20 EUR in total, but will take you around 2-3 hours of trip).
But if you would like to combine conference and visit to Dubai, this could be a good option.
